About Me

Kayla Roberts

I was born in Denver, Colorado, and raised in Las Vegas, where I graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design and Media and a minor in Art History. When I step away from design, I turn to the stories found in fantasy novels, cinematic worlds, and in the cities I visit.

My path to being a graphic designer started in childhood. From a young age, I’ve always been fond of art and creating new things. In high school, I explored video editing as a hobby and taught myself how to use After Effects. From there, my creative hobbies grew. I was the layout editor for the school newspaper and even designed the logo and branding. I found that design was something that came naturally to me, and I enjoyed creating new things.

Being creative is part of my identity. The process of bringing ideas to life is something I find so fulfilling, and I feel fortunate to have a career where I get to do that every single day.

Experience

Freelance Graphic Designer

Kayla Roberts DesignRemoteMay 2025 – Present

I design cohesive brand identities for small businesses and tech companies — color palettes, type systems, and visual guidelines — alongside social graphics and print collateral. I designed the marketing site for Pondereth, a meditation app, from a brand guide and assets I built from scratch, and I manage client communication, timelines, revisions, and final delivery across projects.

Digital Marketing & Design Assistant

Good Doc DentalRemoteSeptember 2024 – Present

I maintain content across 20+ dental-office WordPress sites in Divi, design web and print graphics in Canva, and build and schedule email and Meta campaigns for seasonal offers across locations. I also manage Google Business Profiles and reviews, keeping branding and messaging consistent everywhere.

AI Automation & Content Operations Specialist

Come Follow Me Meditations · PonderethRemoteMay 2025 – Present

For a faith-based media company, I build and run the automated systems that take its content from production through sales. The 20+ skill AI pipeline I built connects Claude, ChatGPT, ElevenLabs, Google Drive, Notion, and Slack to turn each week’s plan into scripts, custom-voice narration, thumbnails, quote reels, carousels, and publishing packages, then publishes them hands-off: new videos every week and two Instagram posts a day, every day. It has run on schedule for 60+ straight weeks, supporting the company’s 700+ YouTube videos with 235K+ views, nearly 1,800 YouTube subscribers, and nearly 9,000 Instagram followers. I use analytics to tune the system, which lifted thumbnail click-through from 1–2% to 4–7%.

When the company expanded into digital products, I produced 100+ in two days and rebuilt its website into a storefront with Stripe checkout, secure instant downloads, and a free-sample signup, launching October 2026.

UNLV Scarlet & Gray Free PressLas Vegas, NVJanuary 2023 – May 2025

UNLV Division of Student AffairsLas Vegas, NVNovember 2023 – May 2025
